Today we looked at a 3D printer.
It was good.
I think it is an exciting new technology.
Where it goes is anyones guess.
I can see many benifits to us but Im not sure where it will leave the manufacturing and retail industry.
Probably a great time ti get in and open a shop being that it is a new tech and while the net has many resources on the subject, many people will still prefer to go to a shop and talk things through with someone who is in the same room.
I am  a little mixed overall.
On one side I think thgat we can now create almost whatever wew want now, apparently quite easily.
The flip to that is where art, craft and skill will be left.
I feel that how things are done is fading away, with the main concern being that it has been done.
Also, once something becomes accessable, every one is able to do it and the value then disapears.
Once value from an industry or skill has gone, the people making a living from it then suffer.
Music is a prime exammple.
Every secoind teenager is now a superstar dj, so as a result, the market is flooded and worthless.
I think something like this will happen with physical things.
